The game is designed to last up to two hours, and you only need a mobile phone to participate. While you do not need any other materials, some people find it helpful to bring a pen and a notepad to keep track of their findings. Each ticket grants access for a single device, so keep that in mind if you are planning to play as a group. Since the investigation takes you across 12 outdoor locations, it is worth noting that some spots might present accessibility challenges, so it is a good idea to check ahead if that is a concern for you. The event runs regardless of the weather, so dressing for the conditions is sensible, and while there is not a strict dress code, comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes are recommended.
It is recommended that you arrive at the Royal Pavilion Tea by Sugardough at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. While food and drink are not included in the ticket price, the venue does offer refreshments if you want to grab something before or after your investigation. Tickets start from ยฃ10.00. They are not refundable, but if your plans change, they can be transferred to someone else or rescheduled depending on availability. Given the parking situation in the city, using public transport or a ride-sharing service is generally the most straightforward way to get to the starting point. Although the event is aimed at adults, children are welcome to participate if supervised, though it is worth keeping in mind that the themes are geared towards an older audience.
