Set in the 1920s, the story follows Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who finds herself in a desperate situation after murdering her lover. To avoid conviction, she hires the city's most cunning lawyer, turning the legal proceedings into a spectacle. The plot focuses on the themes of fame, justice, and the nature of celebrity. The score is well-known for tracks like 'All That Jazz', 'Cell Block Tango', and 'Razzle Dazzle'. The work was originally created by John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Bob Fosse, and it retains the original choreography developed by Fosse. Over the years, the production has been recognised with six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, and a Grammy.
This touring production is presented by David Ian for Crossroads Live, working in collaboration with Barry and Fran Weissler. The creative team bringing it to the stage includes director Stacey Haynes and choreographer Gary Chryst, who maintains the specific Fosse style. The technical side of the show features set design by John Lee Beatty and costumes by William Ivey Long. While the specific cast members for this run are yet to be announced, the production is recommended for audiences aged 13 and over. Tickets for the Brighton dates have been available since 19 June 2026 and can be purchased through the official ATGtickets.com/Brighton portal.
