Her set focuses on inquisitive pop songs that pull from a wide range of influences, blending indie rock, electronic, dub, and dance rhythms. Her discography is quite varied, spanning from The Expanding Flower Planet in 2015 and Find the Sun in 2020, through to her 2023 collaboration with Kate NV, Ticket to Fame, and her most recent release, Ready for Heaven from 2025. Pitchfork has described her voice as her "not so secret weapon," highlighting her ability to shift between quiet, whispered tones and much more powerful, melismatic registers. It’s a sound that feels distinct, moving through different textures and rhythmic styles.
The evening also features a set from guitarist Mason Lindahl, who will be performing material from his albums Joshua and Same Day Walking. It’s an 18+ event. If you’re heading to The Hope & Ruin at 10-12 Queens Road, it’s worth noting the accessibility arrangements. The venue has wheelchair access via a back door, though you will need to ask for assistance to use it. There are two gender-neutral accessible toilets on-site, and if you need a chair, they can provide one if you arrive early enough to secure one. The venue is located right on Queens Road, making it fairly central for anyone coming from the station or the city centre. Tickets are £15.00.
