Luca Lozano has established himself as a distinct voice in contemporary house and electronic music. His sets are characterised by a fluid movement between different tempos and musical eras, rarely staying in one place for too long. He will be playing back-to-back with Mr. Ho, his frequent collaborator and co-founder of the Hong Kong-based label Klasse Wrecks. The label has built a reputation for releasing leftfield club music that resists being boxed into a single genre. When describing their own approach to these b2b sets, they characterise the sound as "restless, DIY, and always a step sideways from the obvious." It is a philosophy that keeps their selections unpredictable and avoids the more conventional routes of club music. Support for the evening comes from Dufraine, who will be helping to set the tone for the night.
The event is hosted at Patterns, located at 10 Marine Parade, Brighton, BN2 1TL. As with all events at this venue, there is a strict safe space policy in place. The management makes it clear that they do not tolerate racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, or any other form of discrimination or aggression. They also place a strong emphasis on the importance of consent and encourage attendees to look out for one another throughout the night. It is a space designed to be inclusive, and the staff are committed to maintaining that environment for everyone who attends.
The night kicks off at 23:00. This is an 18+ event, so you will need to bring valid identification to gain entry. Tickets for the night are priced at £20.93. It is a straightforward setup for a Friday night, focusing on the music and the collaboration between the two headliners.
