Dr David Luke is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Greenwich and a Perrott-Warrick Senior Researcher via Trinity College, Cambridge. Having served as the president of the Parapsychological Association, his academic background is extensive, with over 100 published articles and thirteen books to his name, including Otherworlds: Psychedelics and Exceptional Human Experience. His work specifically investigates transpersonal experiences, anomalous phenomena, and altered states of consciousness. During this lecture, he will guide the audience through the scientific perspective on a wide range of topics, including telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and near-death experiences. The discussion will also cover ghost sightings, poltergeists, mediumship, and even reports of past-life memories, providing a structured look at how these subjects are approached within a scientific framework.
The evening is designed to be accessible to anyone with an interest in psychology and the paranormal, whether you are attending alone or with friends. The programme is scheduled to last for 2 hours and 30 minutes in total. Doors open at 19:00, with the lecture itself beginning at 19:30. The event will conclude at 21:30, and there will be a dedicated Q&A session included, allowing for further exploration of the topics covered during the talk. Tickets are priced at £16.00.
