zzzahara is the solo moniker of Zahara Jaime, a musician based in Highland Park, Los Angeles. Before focusing on this project, Jaime was known for their work as a guitarist in the bands Eyedress and Simps. With Distant Lands, produced by Casey Lagos and released via Lex Records, Jaime has moved into a distinct creative space. The album is described as an exploration of an 'oniric experience'—a dreamlike state—that emerged following the death of their brother. The record draws heavily on specific artistic influences, incorporating themes and textures inspired by the works of filmmaker Wong Kar Wai and director David Lynch, which gives the music a cinematic, introspective quality.
Because the album is so deeply rooted in these personal and aesthetic influences, the live performance is expected to reflect that same atmosphere. The show is open to those aged 14 and over. Doors for the event are at 19:30, and tickets are priced at £15.40.
