A free Friday night comedy event in Brighton featuring six acts at The Caxton Arms.
Freak of Nature Comedy is back at The Caxton Arms on Friday 17 July, one of its regular Friday night slots in Brighton. It's a free comedy night, and the format is pretty straightforward: six established comedians on one bill, all bringing their best material. The line-up pulls from the South Coast and beyond, so you'll get a mix of local names and acts coming in from further afield.

If you've never been, the night runs from 20:00 to 22:30, which is a decent stretch of comedy for a Friday evening without running too late. The organisers describe it as 'freakishly good', and with six acts to get through, there's plenty of variety to keep things moving. Because it's a recurring club rather than a one-off, it's an easy one to drop into if you're around the city on a Friday.
The Caxton Arms is at 36 North Gardens, BN1 3LB, so it's easy enough to find. Entry is free, which makes it a low-stakes way to spend a Friday night if you fancy some live comedy without having to commit to a ticket in advance. It's a pub setting, so it's as much about the atmosphere as the acts on stage.
If the 17 July date doesn't work, there are plenty more to choose from throughout the year. The club returns on 14 August, 18 September, 16 October, 13 November, and 18 December, all on Fridays from 20:00 to 22:30. It's free entry every time.
