The headliner, Rob Pearson, is a veteran of the UK tech house scene and the founder of Evasive Recordings. His approach to music is described as being rooted in flow and feel, with a sound that connects directly to the tech house era of the late 90s and early 2000s. He is also featured on the A1 track of the new EP, which is a collaboration with Paul Donton. It’s a chance to hear how that specific sound translates in a live setting.
He’s joined on the line-up by Leo Christopher, who runs the Murmurations label. His track Underground is also included on Flock Vol. 1, so you can expect to hear that alongside the rest of the label's new material. The bill also includes Tred Litely, who is a resident for Murmur, and Oliver Molina. Molina is a familiar face in the city as a selector and promoter, and he is also associated with Haptic Records.
The event is being held at Waterbear, which you’ll find at The Kings Road Arches, 169-170, Brighton, BN1 1NB. The music starts at 22:00. While the exact ticket price is currently listed as to be confirmed, you can secure your entry through online platforms like Skiddle. It’s a focused night for anyone following the output of Murmurations or the broader tech house scene in the city. The event is specifically designed for those interested in the label's current direction and the artists they are championing with this release.
